Go behind the scenes with flautist Dietmar Wiesner as he leads a masterclass with º£½ÇÂÒÂ×¹Ù·½ students.
A founding member and flautist of the Ensemble Modern, Dietmar Wiesner has worked with the most important contemporary composers of this age. He appears regularly as soloist with orchestras including the SWR Symphony Orchestra, and in 2009 he performed the world premiere of Mark Anthony Turnage’s Five views of a mouth with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. Also a composer, he has created works across various genres, including the radio chamber opera Haus aus Stimmen which won the German Critics Award.
As part of Dietmar Wiesner’s residency, he curates and performs in a concert showcasing RCM flautists on 27 March.
